i heard a new seu jorge (aka knockout ned) song yesterday called 'cirandar' that got me going on this brazilian music kick. i have also been playing call of duty modern warfare and wish they had a better soundtrack when you are going around sniping people in the flavelas. i used to really be into bonde do role but once the original singer left the band i did too.

the seu jorge song is in the background of the capoeira video, but the new version is much better.

I recently saw western filmmaking god John Ford's gorgeous, hypnotic 1946 cowboy noir "My Darling Clementine" a fictionalization of the Earps, Doc Holiday and the Gunfight at The OK Corral (the same events portrayed in "Tombstone"). you can't beat Henry Fonda (The Grapes Of Wrath) as Wyatt Earp, or Vic Mature ( Samson and Delilah, Kiss of Death) as Doc Holiday. rip it, rent it, see it however.

i've liked hairy chicks for awhile
