i heard a new seu jorge (aka knockout ned) song yesterday called 'cirandar' that got me going on this brazilian music kick. i have also been playing call of duty modern warfare and wish they had a better soundtrack when you are going around sniping people in the flavelas. i used to really be into bonde do role but once the original singer left the band i did too.

the seu jorge song is in the background of the capoeira video, but the new version is much better.

oh man. i went to rio de janero in 2006. i had a boner the whole time. so many chicks. everyone was beautiful. its the only city that's in a jungle. its a jungle by the beach. and there's a city there. fuckin aye. anyways, this is supposedly the hit song there right now. it's their summer season and for the chicks that live in the favelas far from the beach, they have to tan on the rooftops. the singer in this came in 2nd place at their ghetto beauty pageant and talked mad shit to the winner, then subsequently launched her singing career. nice.
