if you've been reading this blog for a while you should remember and know who these guys are by now. both myself and soleanandmean attended their show at spaceland the other night. all i have to say is: new band members + new songs = some seriously amazing shit. do yourself a favor and go see them if you ever get the chance, even if you've seen them before. the whole sound of the band has changed and their songs are faster and have a lot more energy. i don't want to ramble on so here are a couple photos i took of the show and afterparty.

If you havent, that clip they'd use on the Daily Show back in the Kilborn days with the guy smashing the other guys head into bits with his bare hands, it comes from this movie.I first saw it in college. Tama-chan,(which translates to Cat in Hat Can’t Quit) the cat stationmaster of a rural Japan train station, has attained the position of Operating Officer.
The stray cat was found in front of Kishi Station on the Wakayama Electric Railway Co. Kishikawa Line in 2007. Named Tama-chan, the kitty was offered the position of Stationmaster and held that post from 2007 until being promoted to Super Station Master in April 2008.
With the appointment as corporate executive Tama-chan becomes the first cat in the world to hold an executive post of a railroad corporation, a company official said.
Tama-chan, 10, will continue to perform stationmaster duties in addition to its responsibilities as Operating Officer. Those additional duties have not yet been determined.
The cat is responsible for an increase in passenger numbers. The company plans to rebuild Kishi Station into the shape of a cat’s face this summer.

i've been on a big tiga kick for the past month and a half, just really getting into his compositions. i like this song, it starts off pretty hard. my girl was half joking today that this could be my 'ring entrance music' going into a fight. i can imagine the lights being turned out and then a hard detuned synth starts playing loud, and then the lyrics are all like, 'who was in your dream baby, i was in your dream baby, i got what you need baby.' lol. so i was pleasantly surprised to see that the video made for this had this giallo nightmarish bad trip implied violence style goin on.

just saw the blu ray of this feature length collab between Frazetta and Bakshi, pretty fucking sweet. rotoscoped barbarian carnage and exceedingly pervy exploitation of near-naked curvy women, what else could you want. Its basically a moving amalgamation of Frazetta's body of work. and you can just watch the whole damn thing on youtube if you lack class.
